Action shots by Brazilian local Luiz Claudio captured a stunning jaguar cooling off with a drink from a river when it met with a smaller predator. Much to his surprise, the 220lb cat took down a crocodile, attacked it and dragged it away, all of which Claudio managed to capture while passing by.

The predator proved its prowess with stealth and brute force as it wrestled with the crocodile in the water, before taking control and delivering the fatal blow by biting the back of the croc's neck.




Paws for a drink: A jaguar who decided to cool off with a drink from a Brazilian river came back with more than it bargained for as it picked up a crocodile for lunch.
