Three a-330 aircraft: PIA signs contract for wet lease
PIA Premier will be launched on August 14, initially only on the London route

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has formally signed a wet lease deal for three A-330 aircraft of Sri Lankan Airlines. At a ceremony held in Colombo on Friday, PIA CEO Bernd Hildenbrand inked the contract with Sri Lankan Airlines Chairman Ajith Dias and CEO Captain Suren Ratwatte. “The agreement was reached after a series of negotiations between the two sides. The first of these aircraft will be delivered next week while the rest of them will arrive in the following months,” said a PIA statement. “The aircraft are in brand new condition and will be used for PIA Premier flights to give passengers a better experience and regain the airline’s market share. PIA Premier will be launched on August 14, initially only on the London route.
