Nisar maintained that Pakistan wants to open 'channels of communications and cooperation'
ISLAMABAD:
British High Commissioner in Pakistan Thomas Drew called on Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Thursday and discussed with him matters pertaining to bilateral relations, especially under new Prime Minister Theresa May.
Nisar maintained that Pakistan wants to open “channels of communications and cooperation” with the new government in Britain at the earliest.
“The two countries enjoy multi-faceted and multi-pronged cooperation in political, economic, strategic and defence fields,” the minister was quoted as saying by the ministry spokesman.
According to a statement released by the interior ministry, Nisar pointed out that in order to take mutual ties to a new level it is imperative to forge “close coordination and interaction”.
