PESHAWAR:
The National Accountability Bureau has arrested University of Swabi Superintendent Zahid Mehmood for his involvement in corruption, misuse of authority and illegal appointments in Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM). Mehmood was serving as superintendent at AWKUM from 2009 to 2012. During his tenure, the accused in connivance with others processed a summary for illegal appointments and illegal regularisation of services of 652 contract officials by misquoting and misinterpreting notifications of the provincial government.
