Tragic: Body of infant dumped at LRH washroom
PESHAWAR:
A nine-month-old baby was found dead in a washroom in the casualty ward of Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) on Thursday.
A police official deployed at LRH told The Express Tribune the hospital administration found the body of a baby girl in the ladies’ bathrooms.
He told the local police which registered a report and sent the body to Khyber Medical College for an autopsy.“It was a nine-month-old child,” he confirmed.
The police official added the child had died very recently. The police started an investigation in the case and the autopsy report would determine the cause of death,” he said. The policeman added an investigation team started checking CCTV footage of all cameras installed at the facility.
An LRH spokesperson confirmed this development. He also said the police was registering the case.
