Tournament: Shandur Polo Festival kicks off today

At least 30,000 tourists will attend Shandur Polo Festival that will kick off on July 29 (today). This was stated in a handout issued by Tourism Corporation Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. It added a large number of locals from Chitral and Gilgit will also attend the event. Shandur Polo Ground is surrounded by hills where spectators can sit and enjoy the match “Since 1936, polo tournaments were held annually on this ground,” the handout stated. “The three-day Shandur Polo Festival has evolved into a massive celebration that is held every year.”
