LAHORE:
The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Tuesday claimed to have arrested four people suspected of association with militant outfits. The arrests were made in Lahore and Multan, a CTD spokesperson said. He said explosive material was seized from the suspects during the raids. He said the CTD had received intelligence that two men were planning an attack on government installations from a hideout in Khan Colony. He said a CTD team had raided the house and arrested suspects later identified as Yaqoob Shah and Abdullah Moavia. Two other suspects were arrested in two separate raids in Multan. One of them was identified as Jan Muhammad, a member of Hizbul Tahrir and Sautul Ummah, an organisation believed to be allied with the ISIS. Another team arrested a suspect associated with the banned Lashkar-i-Jhangvi (LeJ) . He was identified as Naeem Jan.
