‘Afghan refugees will be restricted to camps’

In a bid to address security concerns, the government has decided to restrict all Afghan nationals to refugee camps. Besides, a business policy regarding them is also being formulated. These views were expressed by Mansehra Deputy Commissioner Iqbal Hasnain while speaking to the participants of a meeting held on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by tribal elders of Afghan refugee camps and other officials. On the occasion, he said keeping in view the security situation, the government took important decisions and warned that any Afghan national who was found living outside the refugee camp would be expelled from the district. He added three committees were formed that would visit refugee camps regularly for keeping check on illegal activities and hosting of outlaws and criminals.
