Ongoing event in Dubai features 2,000 athletes from Ismaili community

The ongoing 2016 Jubilee Games have gathered the Ismaili community from all over the world in Dubai to celebrate the tradition of excellence in sports and diversity and unity of the community.
The intra-community global sports event, which will culminate on July 29, is featuring 2,000 Ismaili athletes from more than 25 countries including Pakistan. The athletes will take part in 15 sports, which include badminton, squash, golf, chess, volleyball, and wrestling.

A total of 174 athletes are representing Pakistan at the 2016 Jubilee Games, with 80% of the contingent coming from the country’s northern areas, including Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistani athletes are participating in eight out of 15 sports — badminton (men and women), basketball (men), cricket (men), football (men and women), volleyball (men and women), squash (men), tennis (men and women), and throwball (women).
