In Custody: CTD arrests militant from Hazara
PESHAWAR:
The personnel of the counter-terrorism department apprehended a wanted militant during a search operation conducted in Hazara. This was stated in a press release issued on Monday. Acting on a tip-off, a search and strike operation was launched in which a wanted militant, Hafizul Haq, was arrested from a house. A six-kilogramme bomb, 10kgs of explosives, 23 feet of detonators, a 4.5-foot safety fuse, 50 yards of electric wire, a remote control bomb, two toy bombs and four remote control receivers were confiscated from this man’s possession. The militant was shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation. The press release stated that officials of CTD said the militant was associated with a banned militant organisation and was involved in several cases of terrorism.
