Mera Ishq Ve Toon: Play highlights effects of drug abuse

A play staged in Rawalpindi highlighted the negative effects of drug abuse. The play titled “Mera Ishq Ve Toon” was staged at the Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) on Sunday.

The play was written and directed by William Pervaiz.

The chief guest at the event was Lieutenant-Colonel Muhammad Shafiq Malik of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), who was flanked by the RAC Resident-Director, Waqar Ahmed.


The play revolved around the story of two brothers whose children became drug-addicts.

The play revolved around how the children came into drug use, and what repercussions their choices had on their families.

Lt-Col Malik praised the message and the play itself. The resident director praised the National Action Plan’s role in helping eradicate the society of the menace of drugs.
