Wanted criminal: ‘Notorious’ robber killed in ‘shootout’
RAJANPUR:
City police said on Sunday that they had killed a robber in a shootout in Thairi Colony.
SHO Faizul Haq said Shakeel, a notorious robber, had been “plotting” a crime in Thairi Colony when a police team, working on a tip-off, raided the area. Haq said that Shakeel had shot at the police and the cops had returned the fire. “Shakeel was hit by bullets and died on the spot.”
Haq said that the district police had earlier set a Rs1 million head money for Shakeel’s arrest.
