Qandeel Baloch removed from Facebook, Instagram
Gone but not forgotten
The Facebook page of social media sensation Qandeel Baloch, has been deleted, as well as her Instagram account (also owned by Facebook).
While Facebook usually converts the account of a deceased individual into a memorialised account where loved ones can share memories on their timeline, Qandeel's account has not received the same privilege.
"Memorialised accounts are a place for friends and family to gather and share memories after a person has passed away," states Facebook's help centre.
5 times Qandeel Baloch was brutally honest
The reason behind the removal of her account is unknown, but it is likely that Facebook received requests for its deletion.
Qandeel, who was strangled to death by her brother at her Multan residence, gained popularity through her controversial videos.
My son should be shot on sight, says Qandeel’s father
All that is left of Qandeel now on social media is her Twitter account.
