G-B education minister threatens to resign
G-B minister Ali Madad Sher threatens to resign, says he is being ignored over important issues.
GILGIT:
A day after a fight between two Pakistan Peoples Party stalwarts, Gilgit-Baltistan minister Ali Madad Sher threatened to resign, saying he was being ignored over important issues, sources told The Express Tribune on Saturday.
“The education minister was enraged at being ignored regarding transfers of senior government officials in the region and he protested,” said a well placed source at the chief minister’s office. He said the angry minister threatened to resign to which the chief minister said, “Resign today … I am ready to accept it.”
The source said Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Syed Mehdi Shah, who was already upset over the scuffle on Friday, which left the finance minister unconscious in the chief minister’s office, was visibly disturbed by this new episode.
