L&DD Secretary Nasim Sadiq presided over the concluding session of the training and distributed certificates among the 70 participants.
UVAS Vice Chancellor Talat Naseer Pasha, Faculty of Life Sciences and Business Management Dean Nasim Ahmad, Livestock Farm Director Dr Abdul Rehman, L&DD Registrar Dr Asif Salman Sahi, Training Coordinator from L&DD Dr Asif Rafique were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Pasha said that the UVAS was providing technical and research assistance for the uplift of the livestock sector. “The training will add to their professional competence. They should apply their knowledge in the field,” he said.
Sadiq said that the aim of the training was to improve and refresh the technical, management and financial knowledge of L&DD officers of BPS-18 posted throughout the Punjab. “The training is mandatory for L&DD officers for their promotion from BPS 18 to BPS 19,” he said.
He thanked the UVAS for conducting the training. During the two-month training, the officers were trained in professional skills, office and financial management, leadership, human resource management, presentation and communication skills.
