The power of positive thinking

When we think positive we radiate positive energy in countless directions

Everything in this world is made out of energy. Human beings, too, are a part of this large network of energy. We are constantly emanating energy that extends outwards to a distance. What we feel and what we think is part of this mechanism.

I have always been taught by my elders and by my faith to guard my thoughts and control my feelings because, consequently, these thoughts and feelings manifest themselves through our attitude and behaviour. Many of us are completely oblivious of this phenomenon. Our actions are subject to our thinking. The miracle of positive thinking has endless benefits. When we think positive we radiate positive energy in countless directions.

Have we ever wondered why society is inclined towards depression, fear and anxiety? Negative feelings, such as hate, anger, envy and greed are widespread. Many people in our culture possess the faculty of negative thinking. This negativity becomes the root cause of their own unhealthy habits and insecurities. One way to understand this is to imagine ourselves as farmers — our life is like a crop field and our thoughts are like seeds. If we cultivate our minds with positive thinking we will surely benefit from its fruits.

Thoughts precede action. The right thoughts precede a chain of good actions. On the contrary, destructive thoughts emanate negative energy and are toxic agents serving to limit the thinker, preventing him or her from developing good interpersonal relationships. From condescension, to fearing someone else’s success, from intolerance to passing judgments on others, the negativity is never-ending. Human beings are created to reach the heights of wisdom and intellect. Therefore, we must elevate ourselves from such traits that do not match with our inherent disposition. The most powerful weapon at our disposal is positive thinking. Our desire for happiness as well as peace and harmony in society should be coupled with discipline, gratitude, humility and unity. We should start acquainting ourselves with the nature of honesty, kindness, forgiveness, generosity, patience and hope.

As a nation, we must begin to abide by the rule ‘do unto others what you want done unto you’. Why have we clouded our vision and covered our core with layers of negativity? Let’s give ourselves a chance to manifest our true selves and unshackle the chains of negative energy we have drowned ourselves in. Welcome each and everything and person you come in contact with, with a smile, and allow the laws of positive thinking to work their magic. It’s never too late — we can read, learn, educate, and bring positive changes in ourselves. Ultimately, we can become a source of strength within our families, society and country.
