Kasur Scam: Child abuse suspects denied bail
Ganda Singhwala police in Kasur had registered cases against the suspects
LAHORE:
Lahore High Court on Friday dismissed bail petitions of three suspects in the Kasur child abuse case and directed an anti-terrorism court to ensure conclusion of trial without delay. The suspects had pleaded in their bail petitions that police had been unable to establish charges brought against them. They had sought bail saying that the trial had yet to be completed. A division bench, however, dismissed the petitions and directed the trial court to conclude the trial without any delay. Ganda Singhwala police in Kasur had registered cases against the suspects and others on charges of sexually assaulting several children. They were also accused of using videos of the assault to blackmail the victims.
