Theft: FIR sought against mother-in-law

An additional district and sessions judge on Friday sought comments from the Sanda SHO on a petition filed by a woman seeking registration of a case against her mother-in-law for stealing her cash. Lubna Bibi submitted that her mother-in-law, Sakina Bibi, had come to her house one day. She said the next day she had found that Rs20,000 was missing from the dressing table. She said she was sure that Sakina had stolen the money while she had gone to a shop to bring her [Sakina] a cold drink. She said she had requested the SHO to take action against her mother-in-law but he had done nothing in this regard. She requested the court to direct the officer to register an FIR against Sakina.
