Trend spotting: Worn-out tees are back in fashion

here is a list of Hollywood A-listers who show you how it’s rightly done, in the right fashion

KARACHI:
Gone are the days where plain white and hand-me-down band t-shirts were reserved for lazy days. As of late, even your most worn-in tees can be synonymous with being effortlessly chic — it’s just a matter of styling.

Compiled from ELLE, here is a list of Hollywood A-listers who show you how it’s rightly done, in the right fashion. The three divas, enveloped in tees, no doubt accentuate the simple piece of apparel to its full potential. Each of their looks suited them to the tee!

Kate Bosworth

No stranger to donning t-shirts on the red carpet, the Superman Returns starlet offsets her floaty, mint green Jil Sander skirt with a fitted white tee. Showcasing the beauty of minimalism, the combination whispers glamour (instead of shouting it). Bosworth makes a case for a casual-cool evening look with light make-up and just a pop of crimson colour on her lips. We love how her look is on point with a tight updo and no accessories — something not many can pull off with such simplicity.

Miranda Kerr

The Australian supermodel takes the jeans and t-shirt look to new heights, by dressing up her marble gray style and skinny jeans with a contrasting beige trench coat worn on the shoulders. Pointed-toe heel boots and a matching leather bowler bag hanging on the crook of her arm, emphasise the look. With a light pink lipstick and her hair tied in a bun, she looks every bit glamorous. Also going completely accessory-free, the beauty polishes off her look with a million-dollar smile.

Amber Heard

The Danish Girl star tucks her casual white t-shirt into a floor-length, shimmery silver skirt to balance the look. With her tresses falling to one side of her shoulder, her dangling emerald green earrings are a sure-fire stand-out. We feel she could have let go of the accessories or the red pout, but we applause her for pulling the attire off with such confidence.
