Opener Ahmad Shahzad and middle-order batsman Umar Akmal have not been included in the probable 30 players for the upcoming limited-overs series against England.

According to sources, the national selection committee, which is headed by former Pakistan captain Inzamamul Haq, is not ready to recall both players who were dropped on disciplinary grounds after the World T20.

"The selectors have shortlisted 30 probables and these include mostly young players and there is no room for Shahzad or Umar," one source told Press Trust of India. "The selectors want to give new and young players maximum exposure in T20 cricket and are also considering resting experienced all-rounder Shoaib Malik for the T20 match in England."

Inzamam, who represented Pakistan in 120 Tests and 378 ODIs, is currently in England, where he is watching the performance of the ‘A’ team in the ongoing tri-series with England Lions and Sri Lanka A.
