Misusing power: Three policemen suspended
KARACHI:
Three policemen were suspended on Monday over their alleged involvement in torturing citizens. Three police constables of the Aziz Bhatti police station - Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Omar and Muhammad Kamran - were accused of torturing two citizens riding a motorcycle.
The cops tortured the two men near Civic Centre after they intercepted them during snap checking, however, the motorcyclists hit their motorcycle with the cops' motorcycle. Upon which, the cops beat them up.
Following the incident, Sindh home minister Sohail Anwar Siyal took the notice of the incident and ordered inquiry and District East SSP Faisal Abdullah suspended the three cops and ordered departmental inquiry against them.
