A very clever person once said, “Balanced diet is a cookie in each hand.” And if you want to get it even more balanced, you cook a skillet full of cookie goodness! Yes, that’s right. When pizza meets a cookie, a Pizookie is born. It has all the yumminess of a cookie and the freedom to be able to eat it to your heart’s content – you won’t run out of it until the skillet is empty.
Ingredients
All-purpose flour – 1 cup
Butter – ½ cup, melted
Brown sugar – 1 cup
Egg – 1
Vanilla extract – 2 teaspoons
Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
Baking soda – 1/8 teaspoon
Salt – ¼ teaspoon
Chocolate chips – ½ cup
Method
In a mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar together until the sugar is dissolved. Next, add the egg and vanilla extract and whisk well. Then add the dry ingredients, starting with the flour and followed by baking powder, baking soda and salt. Lastly, add chocolate chips and fold into the cookie dough.
Transfer the dough to a greased skillet and bake for 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes. Serve with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and eat while it’s warm. Happy baking!
