Climbing to tirich mir: French tourists conclude their journey

CHITRAL: Two French nationals triumphantly climbed the highest peak of Hindukush mountains, Tirich Mir, in Chitral. A French team arrived all the way from France to the district in the eastern corner of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to climb Tirich Mir. While speaking to the media, the French climbers, Quillet Thomas and Jerome Chazelas, said they had no idea about the challenges when they had set out to Tirich Mir mountains. They were also worried because they had heard stories on the news about terrorism and targeted killings related incidents in the province. But they were pleased to see the peaceful side of Pakistan. In Pakistan, their journey began from Islamabad. They said the expedition was a bit overwhelming but unforgettable. The tourists voiced their gratitude for the people of Chitral for supporting them during the entire process. On the other hand, the people of Chitral also expressed excitement over having foreign tourists in their region and welcomed them with open arms.
