Metro road carpeting nears completion
It will help avoid traffic disruption at this point
MULTAN:
Road carpeting along the metro bus route from Afshar Intersection to BCG Chowk will be completed in three days, Project Chief Engineer Sabir Khan Saddozai said on Friday.
He said the trial run of an escalator installed at Shah Rukn-i-Alam metro bus station had been successful. He said that work on the 18-kilometre route had been expedited.
“It has been decided that a slipway would be constructed at Daulat Gate, from Ali Chowk to Hafiz Jamal Road under the package-III of the Metro Bus Project. It will help avoid traffic disruption at this point.” He said the construction of footpaths and the carriage-way were under way.
