Heinous crime: Four injured in acid attacks
The spokesman said Umar Kot police had registered an FIR and formed a team to arrest Saeed
BAHAWALPUR:
Four people were injured after they were attacked with acid in separate incidents on Friday.
A Liaquatpur police spokesman said Myra*, an 18-year-old resident of Chak 175/7R was asleep at her house when some unidentified men broke in and threw acid on her. He said her legs and arms had been burnt.
He said police had registered an FIR and teams had been formed to apprehend the attackers.
Separately, police said Muhammad Saeed, a resident of Kacha Sabzani village, had attacked his cousin with acid after an argument.
He said the man’s mother Alam Khatoon and 26-year-old brother Mehboob Ahmad were also injured.
He said they were taken to a hospital where their condition was reported stable. The spokesman said Umar Kot police had registered an FIR and formed a team to arrest Saeed. He said the matter was being investigated.
