“The organisation will reach out to such people through a cash grants assistance programme of Rs9.46 million,” stated a press release issued on Wednesday. “The beneficiaries, under the cash grants assistance programme, include victims of heavy rains, floods, landslides and other calamities.”
The organisation’s G-B spokesperson, Safdar Ali, said cash grants of Rs22,000 would be disbursed in two installments. “The first installment will be of Rs12,000, while Rs10,000 will be the second.” Ali said. He added the money would be delivered to each family via the easy paisa scheme of a cellular service provider.
“More than a hundred families have received their first installments.”
