Peshawar's Army Public School (APS) massacre mastermind Umar Mansur has been confirmed killed in a drone strike, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday.

DG ISPR Lt Gen Asim Bajwa said in a Tweet that commander Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan called army chief General Raheel Sharif to confirm the news.




“Comd RSM called COAS, confirmed death of terrorist Umar Narai alias Khalifa Umar,also alias Khalid Khurasani through drone strike in Afghanistan,” read the Tweet.

A drone strike in Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province on July 9 reportedly killed Umar Mansur, along with four others.

Mansur, alias Aurangzeb, was a member of the Tariq Geedar Group responsible for the 144 deaths in the Army Public School, the Peshawar Airport and the Bacha Khan University.
