BATKHELA: Residents of Totakan in Malakand Division urged the provincial government to replace the Pesco superintendent within three days. They threatened to protest and block roads if their demand was not fulfilled. While speaking at a press conference, representatives and residents of Totakan, Meikh Band, Matkani and Pir Khel flayed PESCO Superintendent Muslim Khan for not taking action against two linemen who had suspended electricity of 10 villages in order to fulfil the requirements of their own houses.

Locals said linemen Ikram and Fawad were caught stealing electricity and were handed over to the local MPA. However, the MPA allegedly took a bribe from both linemen and closed the matter.
