Welfare: Daycare centre opens at secretariat
The provincial government was committed to launching more such schemes
LAHORE:
A daycare centre has been set up at the Civil Secretariat at a cost of Rs2.6 million. Additional Chief Secretary Shamail Ahmad Khwaja inaugurated the facility that features a learning hall, an infant area and a pantry. It has CCTV cameras and fire alarms. As many as 15 officials have been appointed at the centre. Khwaja said the centre was an Eid gift for women workers of the secretariat. He said the provincial government was committed to launching more such schemes. Administration Additional Secretary Waseema Umer, Welfare Additional Secretary Mudassar Riaz Malik and office-bearers of the Punjab Secretariat Employees’ Association were also present on the occasion.
