Teacher training: 4-week workshop begins
Workshop aimed to welcome new ideas and to improve communication between teachers and students.

“The sky is the limit. We will continue striving hard to achieve new heights of quality education,” Prof Muhammad Nawaz, the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) vice chancellor (VC) said on Thursday.
The VC was addressing a seminar held during the inaugural session of the four-week Professional Competency Enhancement Program for Teachers (PCEPT). Prof Nawaz urged the faculty members to improve the quality of education through learning. He said to become ‘good’ teachers, it was necessary to listen to students’ queries and concerns. He said the workshop aimed to welcome new ideas and to improve communication between teachers and students.
The PCEPT would train the teachers and would focus on student’s ideas, he added.
