He ordered that all necessary steps should be taken to minimise problems for citizens and tourists going to the popular hill station.
He said more guidance should be provided to visitors and the traffic flow system should also be streamlined.
The chief minister also asked why advance arrangements were not made to maintain smooth flow of traffic in and around Murree during the Eid holidays.
Hours long queues of traffic were seen on the roads leading to and from Murree as large numbers of tourists decided to go to the hill station to beat the heat.
