Eid congregations: ITP ensures smooth flow of traffic

Over 250 police personnel performed duties.

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) on Wednesday, the first day of Eidul Fitr, maintained traffic discipline in the city especially for Eid congregations and at public places in a highly professional manner.

Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Malik Matloob had chalked out a special plan for the day, under which over 250 personnel performed their duties at religious congregations and public places to ensure smooth flow of traffic there, a police spokesman said.

Besides, special teams were constituted to keep a check on wheeling and driving motorbikes without silencers by youngsters on the boulevards of the city.
