Army chief visits troops deployed at LoC on Eid
Gen Raheel says the high morale of troops, operational preparedness and vigilance on the frontline is commendable

Army chief General Raheel Sharif visited troops deployed along the line of control (LoC) on Friday and conveyed Eid greetings to them.
General Raheel visited the soldiers in Kel and Bagh Sectors on the front-line and spent time with them, said a statement of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The Army chief said that the high state of morale of troops, operational preparedness and vigilance being maintained along the LoC is highly commendable.
While paying rich tributes to the sacrifices of officers and men of Pakistan Army, General Raheel appreciated their valour, sacrifice and extreme commitment for the defence of the motherland.
The Army chief was received on the front-line by the Corps Commander, Lieutenant General Malik Zafar Iqbal.

On Wednesday, General Raheel offered Eid prayers in North Waziristan as he interacted with army troops taking part in the continuing military offensive against militants in the tribal belt, Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
On the occasion, the COAS said that while the consolidation goes on and the operation dividends are optimised for the border region with Afghanistan, Pakistan will not allow anyone to use its soil against the neighbouring country.
