Sohail Ahmed's century leads to SNGPL defeat of Karachi Dolphins by 101 runs in One Day National Cup.
Led by a superb century by Sohail Ahmed, SNGPL defeated Karachi Dolphins by 101 runs in the One Day National Cup. Ahmed made 121 to take SNGPL to a competitive 287 for six before restricting Dolphins to 186. Khurram Shahzad claimed three for 22 and Asad Ali took three for 35.
Islamabad wins battle of twin cities
Islamabad Leopards made a mammoth 301 and restricted Rawalpindi Rams to 159 for seven to win by 91 runs through the Duckworth Lewis method. Faizan Riaz made 82 and Zeeshan Mushtaq hit 67 to put Islamabad in the driving seat. Nasruallah then claimed three wickets to peg back Rawalpindi.
PIA-HBL settle without a result
The match between PIA and HBL ended without a result after bad light forced play to be abandoned. Put into bat, PIA were dismissed for 159 with Danish Kaneria claiming two for 28. HBL reached 33 without loss in just four overs before the match was called off.
Wapda defeat Stallions
Wapda crushed Sialkot Stallions by seven wickets after the bowlers set up the easy win. Bilal Khilji and Zulfiqar Abbas claimed three wickets each as Stallions were dismissed for a paltry 165 before Wapda raced to the target in just the 37th over. Rizwan Malik hit an unbeaten 61.
Jamshed, Naumanullah set up easy win
Nasir Jamshed and Naumanullah steered NBP to an easy eight-wicket win over ZTBL. Jamshed made 67 and Naumanullah was not out for the same score as NBP overhauled the 223-run target in the 37th over. Fawad Alam hit a 46 off 32 balls.
Zain plunders Faisalabad
Zain Abbas raced his way to quickfire 83 as Multan Tigers registered a comprehensive seven-wicket win over Faisalabad Wolves. Multan seemed to be in a hurry as Abbas took 68 balls for his knock and guided the team to the 199-run target in just the 29th over.
