HYDERABAD:
Sindh information adviser Maula Bux Chandio has accused the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's (PML-N) federal government of continuing the policies of late military ruler General Ziaul Haq.

"Their leaders behave like kings. They get offended by small differences of opinion. This is the philosophy of Zia," said Chandio on Tuesday while addressing a gathering observing the 'black day' of July 5 - when Zia imposed martial law and deposed then Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) premier Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

Chandio said the PML-N leaders are afraid of the growing popularity among people of Pakistan Peoples Party's chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zaradari. The adviser remonstrated that once again the smaller provinces in Pakistan are witnessing a resurgence of deprivation because they are not being given due importance.

Chandio also decried performance of the federal power utilities complaining that people of Sindh are being subjected to injustice by protracted power breakdowns, removal of transformers, excessive billing and penalties.

Separately, PPP workers also held a demonstration to mark the black day in Hyderabad. The party also organised protests in many small and big towns of Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas and Nawabshah divisions.
