An additional district and sessions judge on Monday sought comments from the Liaquatabad SHO on a petition filed by a man seeking the registration of a case against his in-laws for allegedly forcing his wife to terminate a pregnancy. Petitioner Younas said that he had sent his wife to live with parents after she became pregnant. “My mother-in-law forced my wife to have an abortion without informing me,” he said. He said he had asked police to register a case against them, but they had refused.
