Imad Wasim refuses to wear beer logo on CPL shirt
Imad joins the likes of South African captain Hashim Amla and Pakistani-born Australian spinner Fawad Ahmed who chose to wear unbranded shirts due to their religious beliefs.
No beer logo on cricket shirt for Fawad Ahmed
The original shirt for the Tallawahs has a main sponsor of 'Jamaica Rum' placed at the front of the shirt on the chest.
However, in Jamaica's first CPL match against St Kitts and Nevis, Imad Wasim was seen with a black patch covering the main logo.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Imad's manager tweeted the reason behind Imad's hidden logo. "Imad playing CPL from Jamaica and not using the main sponsor logo on the shirt due to Alcohol Brand", the tweet read.
Earlier, Imad has said that his first stint in a foreign T20 league will be a learning experience.
“It’s my first journey to the Caribbean so it would be a good learning curve for me and I’m looking forward to the challenge,” Imad told the CPL website in an interview. “As a cricketer, you always need different challenges to grow and progress, and this is what I want. I’m working hard to keep proving my credentials.”
Imad scored 19 runs from 14 balls when Jamaica scored 153-7 in their 20 overs. He also contributed to Tallawahs' five-run victory with a wicket in his two overs by leaking away 21 runs.
Commendable move from the all-rounder!
