                        Khedira, who had played in every match of the tournament so far, was taken off early in that game after overstretching during a challenge for the ball. "Sami Khedira won't play for us on Thursday. We will do everything for him to be available for a potential final," Loew told reporters.

Germany are already without suspended Mats Hummels and injured striker Mario Gomez, who was ruled out for the rest of the tournament after also being injured against Italy.
