Holy Night: Lailatul Qadr observed with reverence
LAHORE/KARACHI:
The 27th night of Ramazan was observed as Lailatul Qadr with religious fervour, solemnity and reverence across the country. Believers spent the night reciting the Holy Quran and praying till the closing call to fasting. Mosques in all cities and towns across the country were colourfully illuminated and clerics and religious scholars highlighted the night’s importance and agreed that the night was an opportunity for everyone to resolve for abstaining from sins. They advised the faithful to beg Allah’s mercy. Religious scholars prayed for establishment of peace in Pakistan and whole world and sought mercy and kindness of Allah Almighty for all mankind. Special prayers were offered for the peace and prosperity of the country.
