ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration continued its crackdown on public transporters who were fleecing and overcharging passengers going to their native places to celebrate Eid with their families.
On Saturday, ICT Administration officials raided various terminals and inspected around 150 public transport vehicles and 90 of them were fined Rs43,000 for overcharging the public.
Bus terminals have witnessed a steep rise with people struggling to secure tickets for going home at the earliest.
The transporters have taken advantage of the rush and have started overcharging the public.
