Inquiry: Police official suspended for thrashing hawker

ISLAMABAD:
Police high-ups on Saturday suspected two police officials for thrashing a transport hawker at Faizabad, after the episode was captured on camera and sent to police officers.

A police official said that policemen of Eagle Squad were called by the people after misbehaviour of a hawker Faqeer Muhammad s/o Dildar Khan serving at Faizabad bus stand with female passengers.

Police Head Constable Muhammad Saeed and Khan Amin in Eagle squad asked the hawker to behave which led to an exchange of hot words among them. Later, policemen thrashed the hawker on the occasion and the matter was immediately brought into the notice of SSP who has ordered an inquiry into the matter after suspending the Head Constable Muhammad Saeed.


Both policemen and hawker have been shifted to Industrial area police station where they were being investigated.
