LAHORE: Taking notice of an anonymous complaint, the Supreme Court on Friday sought explanation from the Punjab home secretary, the services secretary and the inspector general of police about implementation of the court order on out-of- turn promotions in police. Justice Amir Hani Muslim took notice on the complaint in which the complainant said that police high command was not ready to implement the order. The complaint stated that many officers were still holding the posts to which they had been promoted illegally in violation of the court’s order. It said the out-of-turn promotions in the department amounted to usurping rights of eligible officers. The complainant had requested the Supreme Court to get its order implemented.
