Illegal possessions: Nine suspected criminals arrested

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police arrested nine suspected criminals and recovered a total of 4.205 kilogrammes of hashish, 90 litres of liquor and other stolen items from their possession, a police spokesperson said.

Police arrested Ramzan and Arshad from Khana Dak for being in possession of 1,035 grams and 1,015 grams hashish respectively.

Another accused suspect, Shaukat, was arrested from Khana Dak and recovered 1,120 grams hashish from him while another accused Zubair Khan, was held for possessing 1,035 grams of hashish.

Meanwhile, four Afghan nationals identified as Asad, Islam, Shakir and Yadgai were held for residing in the country illegally.

Acting on a tip off, the Loi Bher police raided a house in the National Police Foundation colony and recovered 90 litres of liquor from the premises.

Meanwhile, the Secretariat police arrested a thief, Khaleeq Mughal and recovered stolen items from his possession.

Separate cases have been registered against the accused persons and investigations have been initiated.
