
Talking to newsmen here at a local hotel at an iftar dinner, he said, atmosphere for resumption of talks between Pakistan and India should be improved.
He said that better atmosphere was a must for the resumption of talks between Pakistan and India so that these talks should be comprehensive and durable.

He said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Lahore on December 25 last year improved the atmosphere for talks between two countries but the Pathankot incident changed the situation.
In response to a question, he fully endorsed that there should be competition between the two countries not only in cricket but hockey too as both the countries have great achievements in these two games at world level. He added that such activities will bring the people of India and Pakistan closer to each other.
