ISLAMABAD:
Two people were killed and two others injured in a collision between two motorcycles here on Thursday. Police said a bike RIL-015 rammed into another motorcycle RIK-1605 at I-10 Markaz. As a result, Basher Khan and Sohail died on the spot, while Abrar Ahmed and Tehmeena Ishfaq were injured.
Meanwhile, the Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICTA) teams on Thursday inspected 336 food outlets and shops and imposed fines of Rs189,900 on 153 of them for over-pricing and selling substandard food items.
Since 1st of Ramzan, 4,172 profiteers have been fined a total amount of Rs7,575,400.
In continuation of the efforts made by the ICT Administration regarding actions taken against profiteers and persons involved in adulteration, the officers of the ICT Administration including the assistant commissioners, magistrate first class and special price magistrates under the supervision of Captain (retd) Abdul Sattar Isani actively took action against the profiteers for overcharging citizens in the sale of commodities of daily use all over Islamabad.
