PESHAWAR: A large number of people, especially women, throng to markets and malls in the city to shop for Eidul Fitr. Many women buy the clothes, bangles, shoes, cosmetics and other accessories for themselves and for their relatives.

Some of the city’s most crowded areas include Saddar Bazaar, University Town, Meena Bazaar and Shaheen Bazaar. Various replicas of different brands are easily available on the streets of these bazaars at low prices.

While talking to The Express Tribune, 31-year-old Shahida Batool said, “Replicas are a blessing for those who cannot afford expensive branded clothes.”

Eid is an occasion when people visit their relatives and get together to celebrate. “I have chosen to express my feelings through this card,” he said. “It will be a love letter of sorts.”

Another customer, Asim, 28, said he chose to buy a red Eid card for his wife.
