Missing persons: Intelligence agencies ordered to file comments
ISI and the Military Intelligence asked for the second time to file comments in a missing persons’ case.

The Inter-services Intelligence (ISI) director-general and the Military Intelligence (MI) were asked for the second time to file comments in a missing persons’ case.
A division bench of the Sindh High Court, comprising Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Imam Bux Blaoch, heard a constitutional petition filed by Sher Baz, Muhammad Kamal, Gulnawaz, Sardar Ali and Muhammad Abdullah, who questioned the allegedly illegal detention of their brothers and sons, who were in a yellow taxi in front of the Abdullah Shah Ghazi shrine at Clifton in February 2009.
They were allegedly whisked away by officials of law-enforcement agencies and since then, nothing has been heard from them.
When the petition came up on Wednesday, the petitioners’ counsel pointed out that no reply had been filed yet by the ISI DG and the MI. The counsel prayed the court to call a report from the two respondents.
In its order, the bench directed the respondents “to file their replies specifically mentioning as to whether the alleged detenues are in custody of the said agency or not”.
The bench also directed them to file personal affidavits within two weeks. The hearing was then adjourned till February 22.
