KARACHI: A delegation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, led by senior party leader Farooq Sattar, met with the Sindh High Court Chief Justice (CJ) Sajjad Ali Shah in his chambers to express sympathy over the kidnapping of his son, Barrister Ovais Ali Shah. Later, talking to reporters, Sattar demanded the government to ensure the early recovery of Ovais. The MQM leader said the gulf between the people and government is increasing with every single day. He also underscored the need for a society which is free of fear and where economic development is boosted by politics. He said both the government and the political parties bear responsibility for this equally, adding that all the political parties should play their role so that this status quo could be ended. He also called for establishing peace committees that would help control kidnappings of prominent personalities.
