Foiled: Huge cache of ammunition recovered

A terror bid was foiled and a huge cache of ammunition was recovered late on Monday evening during a search operation in the hilly area of lower Mohmand Agency. The political administration and security forces confirmed these reports, saying the ammunition was found in the Sapari area. An official said two rocket launchers, 150 mortar shells, 70 bags of different kinds of cartridges, and a large number of hand grenades were dumped in the area. Meanwhile, political administration officials seized on Monday the property and businesses of Qasim Khel tribesmen in Bhai Kor and Kado Kor. It also stopped the issuance of ID cards, passports and domicile certificates under the Collective Responsibility Clause of the Frontier Crimes Regulation. These actions were taken in relation to the slaying of a khasadar official and a Military Engineering Services official at the start of June. The administration asked the tribesmen to hand over the suspects involved in the murder.
