PSB to discuss sports promotion
Pakistan Sports Board to meet federations’ chiefs today.
KARACHI:
The country’s sports federations chiefs will assemble today in Islamabad for a meeting with the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) executive committee that will be chaired by the Federal Sports Minister Ijaz Hussain Jakhrani. According to a PSB spokesman, the agenda of the meeting is to discuss the promotion of sports in the country.
“The minister who is also the PSB president will hear suggestions for the promotion of sports in Pakistan,” said the spokesman.
“The performance of the federations may be reviewed but focus will stay on finding means of encouraging sports in the country.”
Apart from the top PSB officials, other members of the executive committee include General Arif Hassan (President POA), Doda Khan Bhutto (President Pakistan Boxing Federation), Nazar Muhammad Gondal (President Pakistan Badminton Federation), Qasim Zia (President Pakistan Hockey Federation) and Jahangir Khan will be among the attendees.
